Default Help me identify/find vents like these please.

I was hoping one of you experts out there might be able to help me. I am wanting to cut and put vents in my stock hood to give it the look of the hood pictured below. Does anyone know of any carbon fiber vents available to do what I want (not just something that you stick on the top but one that can actually be fitted into a hole in the hood)?

P.S. I am not asking if you want to do this to your car or what you think about me doing it to mine....I just want help so if you can't offer any help then go find some other post to rag on. Sorry for the negative vibe but you guys know what some people are like on here.

veilside hood, unless charge speed makes one, go look for yourself I'm too lazy to show you.

Thanks for the info but I'm looking for vents I can use with my stock hood to achieve this look (not what that specific hood is).

have you even looked at the underside of your hood? doing what is pictured will be near impossible to achieve due to the bracing on the underside. but since you want vents to do it, just go to sites like summit or jegs and look at their assortment of universal hood vents.

I like the vents that MASA MOTORSPORTS offers.

Does the extra air entering through the scoop(s) help in any way (leaner air/fuel ratio, increased hp, cooler engine)? If there's some kinda benefit, I guess I'd consider it; just for looks...hmmm...

A vent would typically let the hot air vent out of the engine bay.
This should (in theory) make the engine run cooler perhaps. Everything is in a cooler state of being...

Sometimes, vents are placed in a hood to bring air right into the turbo area. NACA ducts are like this.

most hoods are used for aesthetic reasons, the venting capacity is minimal on most hoods, until you get to the more expensive r&d setups

is it even possible to mold fiberglass/carbon fiber into a metal hood? unless you can find them made from metal? seems like its goin to be more expensive than getting a hood tho, some manufacturers will sell the hood in fiberglass which can save you some money.

Why not just buy a carbon fiber hood that has the style of vents you want and just paint to get the look you want .

I've seen pictures of hoods done like this and they look very similar to the picture you posted.
