Default spray painting body kit? help a newb out!

i just picked up a nismo V2 for my silverstone colored 350z...i need to get it painted..along with the ings sides and rears i got, and also want to take off my nissan logo on the hatch, and i got a couple paint chips i want to fix... i got my paint code off of automotivetouchup.com....im pretty sure its WV2 for the silverstone Z....anyway...my question was, they sell spray paint to match, and i waas wondering, since im pressed for money, could i pull off spray painting my body kit and touch up spots? and would i have to wet sand it after? the cans are 20 dollars each for basecoats...anyone know anywhere else cheaper to get paint? or in larger amounts for cheaper? a little help thanks guys....sorry for the noob question

If your name is Volk350 shouldn't you have volks...therefore be able to afford to paint the kit after you buy it?

Don't even attempt to do it yourself! Especially if you have no paint experience. Save your money and have it done the right way or you'll end up spending even more money to have someone repair the damage your bound to do. As far as repairing the chips goes, do use a rattle can for that. You would need to mask off the entire area ( chips on hood- mask and paint entire hood) or it just won't blend right, especially on silver, it's one of the hardest color to match and blend. Instead try getting a paint pen or a little bottle with the small brush applicator. You could just wait and ask the body shop that paints your body kit to give you some touch-up paint then.

Umm... get the job done right... if you want to half-*** stuff, buy a cavalier and paint away.
