Cool...You should be fine. - If not NRG makes some lighter compression ones. Just dont slamm it shut - a little play back and forth to get the initial hood travel downward started then it closes pretty easily.

Im going to say no. I ordered a set of NRG lightweight hood struts and was sent the regulars. They told me to install them anyway and i did....hood would not close without flexing too much for me to be comfortable with.
Returned those and they then sent me some 2/3 pressure ones that worked great.
The inital piston compression on the OEM hood ones is just too much for a CF hood. Youll notice your hood flexing more then you would like.

^^I agree 100%...use struts designed for C/F hoods. There are a few available.
