Default Fiberglass, Urethane, or ...?

Hey guys, got a question about body kits.

I have been looking at some options basically what I want to do is a front lip, side skirts and in the rear I have not decided if I should do a lip or full bumper. But my main concern is material.

How many of you guys have fiberglas or urethane, and how many have something different that you might recomend?

Thanks ahead for the help, greatly appreciate it.

My Blitz FB is fiberglass + 3M clear bra'd and has held up really well. I'm lowered on coilovers and drive it pretty carefully though. Most authentic fiberglass kits (vertex, blitz, ings, etc.) are very well constructed/sturdy while their knockoff counterparts tend to be hit or miss on quality.

Urethane can take more abuse then fiberglass but at the end you just have to luck for the lip that you like the most.

Either way if you don't take care of it, it's going to look bad. If you hit something with urethane chances are it will flex and the paint will crack. If you hit something with fiberglass, chances are the bumper will crack. Either way it costs money to repair.

I have an Ings+1 hybrid rear bumper and it is very sturdy.

I would worry more about the quality of fitment and appearance than material. Either one is fine provided you are careful with it.

There isn't anything in here that hasn't been said before. Fiberglass I believe is a little lighter than urethane, but urethane will hold up to abuse a bit better. However, it doesn't matter the quality of the material if the fitment sucks!

Shine Auto makes good stuff and its like blend of the urethane and fiberglass. I like my V2 bumper they made. Most authentic aftermarket stuff, including Nismo, is fiberglass, though much better quality than most replicas.
