curved or straight edge clear-bra (invisiguard)
Hi,
I couldn't find anything when I searched so I hope this is not a repost.
I'm trying to find out how they look when installed on the Z.
Two options: curved hood edge and straight edge.
Just want to know what are the opinions on them and which one is preferred
Thx

I wish I really knew what you mean but if you are referring thwe the bra being folded around the edges of the hood then I have not seen it done and would prefer it as long as it sticks to the bottom of the hood. I have had what you called straight edge and I received a rock chip right at the edge of the hood, just above the bumper, because there is an exposed area around the edge of the hood that the bra doesn't cover. Waxing/clay barring also kinda sucks because a build up will start along the edges which isn't hard to removed but it kinda eats up the claybar.

yep, get the entire thing wrapped with folded edges. if you dont you will get chips right where you arent covered and like b1nks mentioned youll get buildup as well from wax/clay

Why put that crap on your car? Do you leave the plastic on your couch after you buy it as well?

Look at the front of your car and the front of someone with a clear bra. 0 chips vs swiss cheese....yes....it is crap indeed. Oh, and the fact that it is clear and you can't see it....such crap

gr8scott_o, thanks for the pic.
Are those rock chips, right below the clear bra on the hood?
Do you have the straight or curved shaped bra?
hmm, I'm going to ask the installer if it's possible to get the bra tucked in/wrapped inside

these pre cut clearbras never have the coverage that you really want (it stops short of the edges. just look at the hood piece. it stops half way!

Are you serious? I have zero rock chips on the front of my Z because of this film!

Curve looks better. Take it to a reputable shop. Inviscrap kits are not good kits. Never fit right and don't have the best coverage.

Yes... the worse part are the chips just above where my clear bra ends on the hood. Next time, I would have the whole hood done.

Xpel are good kits. Most shops use their template kits.
