Well were doing BRS widebody right now at DTM and I believe they are using RESIN to mold the bodykit on the car.

Also depends what part your bonding it too, metal in the rear quarters, urethane bumpers or fiberglass etc.

For the most Part Epoxy Resin and some fiberglass. It really depends. What your trying to do.

If your gonna glue your body kit to your car you have to think about this, You won't ever get it off unless you put way more work into it then its worth. Body kits bolt on unless your molding it to the body it self.

+1 there are some different 2 part adhesives available. each very specific to what is being adhered to what. have to go to an auto paint place to find it though, won't find the right stuff at autozone.

Well, I got the rear diffuser (below) and I want to bond it to the car rear bumper. I live in Chicago, so it can get really cold here in the winter time. Right now I used 3M molding tape to stick them together, but I'm afraid the tape won't be stronger enough to withstand the cold temp. So I wonder if there's a better solution to bond them together for a long time.

Someone mentioned about using urethane adhesive, but not sure if it'll work or not.

Well you "could" rivet the piece to your bumper. I really think Tape would hold up in the cold but then again i have not experienced a cold day here in SoCal like the ones you might have in Chicago.

Just know this, if you bond it with Epoxy... that thing will either crack when you take it off or your bumper will have to be sold as a whole. Are your nismo Rears also taped? because other then the screws in the front it should be held with tape.

Yes, the Nismo rear addons are also taped and held in with 3 screws. The rear diffuser is also screwed with 2 screws under the exhaust outlets and 3 screws along the muffler area.
If I do go with epoxy adhesive, then can I use the urethane adhesive since I already have it?

The tape should be fine... if there are 2 screws also.

I forgot to mention. The authentic Nismo front lip came with 3M VHB tape and it sticked and looked so much better than the 3M molding tape. Maybe I should find a roll of these VHB (very pricy though). I'll try to stop at Grainger and see if they have them or not. Thanks everyone for helping out.

ya I really wouldn't epoxy/glue it to the bumper. if you have 5 screws and tape its gonna hold just fine.

if you really want the two to stick together forever google duramix. its the best two part epoxy available and you can sand it to give that seamless look. there are different types depending on what materials you are bonding together however if its fiberglass to urethane i think its model 9424....but im not sure.
