A little confused '05 350z headlights
Well I know you all think you answered my question before, but from the perspective of someone who has no clue what you're talking about, none of you were very clear until Z04's "somewhat" technical answer.
For the most part it just seemed like you were more interested in me calling them "JDM" then anything else. I only called them that because thats what they are listed as. JDM, MDJ, BFD, Wh0Fk'nC4r3s... Maybe I should have called them cheap black plastic lights. <- That make everyone happy?
You forget that "you know what youre talking about, I don't". It may make sense to you but doesnt mean it makes sense to me
So anyways what Im getting is that in 05 the base model had Halogen headlights and all other models had HID headlights and the base model had a completely different wire harness in it. (kinda stupid for nissan to do, but OK)
...and all those lights that I see online (wherever they are, ebay or otherwise) for the most part are Halogen lights and the H7 Bulbs (even though they say they are HID) are not HID headlights.
I got that right?
...and Z04 I didnt buy my Z yesterday it's just that til now I didnt give a crap about what kind of Headlights I had in it. I also understand very well that there are many different kinds of lights, but until someone explains it to me plainly and clearly I wont understand the differences clearly. When I see an H7 bulb listed for sale and they call it a HID bulb then someone on here tells me its a Halogen how am I supposed to understand the difference?
KornerCarver thanks for the link I do think that I have a better understanding after Z04 finally tried to actually answer my question but Ill give the link a look.
Looking at that Sylvania website...
2005 NISSAN 350Z (With HID (high intensity discharge) headlamps)
Low beam headlamp
HID-D2R
High beam headlamp
H7
2005 NISSAN 350Z (With halogen capsule headlamps)
Low beam headlamp
H7
High beam headlamp
H1
The H7 is the High Beam in the HID Light and it's the Low Beam in the Halogen Light.......and nobody understands why Im confused???? LOL
Anyways, Thanks guys, Sorry if i seemed upset but it was a bit frustrating.
I think I have enough info now that at least I doubt Id want to buy those lights which is mainly what I was trying to figure out
