Default Pre-Painted V2 Color Matching

So I have the option of buying a bumper unpainted or painted in chrome silver. But Im worried about the color not matching. Would it be easier/cheaper to get it already painted and take it to get it matched, or just buy it unpainted? (I know nothing about body work)

It'd probably be cheaper buying it painted, but I'd recommend buying it unpainted and get it painted locally. By getting it painted locally, you can make sure it matches.

what vendor you getting it from?

i would be worry about the parts not fitting. no point of paying $500.00+ for something that matches the paint 100% but with bad fitment. you will end up wasting more money getting it corrected and repainted.

unless you're positive that the vendor's parts fit then dont test your luck.

and you also have to worry about the condition of the bumper when you receives it. when you get it painted locally, your painter can always fix any flaws or damages that happens during shipping.

given that each color of the Z has several variations of shade, you are always better off having it prepped and painted locally

as far as the parts fitting, with a replica, it's always a crapshoot, which is the inherent, potential downside

I'm getting the nismo V2 bumper from m1autosport on the forum. But I was confused to whether I should bother paying extra money to get it painted when there is a chance im goin to have to get it repainted to color match anyway. Thanks for your guys' help

m1autosport v2 are great fitments but then it will be in a large box being banged and rubbed around by other stuff so there would be unsightly scuffs and maybe cracks to the paint. so its just best to pay that few extra bucks to get it done locally then to face many headaches later on.

i purchase a kit from them, and it took 2 different shipment to get a kit that actually fit. i was like you and wanted them to paint my parts but im glad i didnt do it, cause i woulda waste 500 dollars for getting it painted and it wouldnt fit.

as everyone said get it painted at a local body shop, they will be able to mix your paint and then make a spray out to see if they need to tint it and then shoot it. But before you get it painted there, pick a body shop, and look around and find a car that has been painted and see what kind of quality work they do first.

remember you get what you pay for, so dont fall for the deal prices.
