Default install hid in 04 base

i know how to get in the headlight area, but i don't know what to do with the hid kit. I know there a ballast and some other stuff. btw i have halogens on now. Is it just plug and play or do i have to like wire stuff and all that other goodies. Thanks for the help. I see a lot of how to fix the parking light stuff here, but not how to put on an hid kit. Any help would be great full thanks.

should be plug and play.... you MIGHT have to drill a small hole for the new bulb but thats about it.

example : mines an 05 base and I had to drill a hole in that white circle part for the new bulb to fit all baller like

its super simple and should be cake from there. I hope this at least gives you an idea. BTW I just ziptied my ballasts to where they were nice and secure and didnt get wet.

Thanks Jake.

Would it be too much to ask if you could tell me how to take off the Light covers would ya? You can PM me if you like, and I'll try to make a video for the DIY section.

Basically what you have to do is to remove the splash guards from in front of the front tires... I had a little trouble sticking the bulbs and getting them to stick in there, but I just put some double sided tape on it, and stuck em in there.

Also, to make things easier, I took off the front wheels in order to give me a little bit more room while I worked. Plus, it was a good opportunity to clean my rims too. After I installed the bulbs, I moved the ballasts in the brake fluid, and in the battery compartments to hide them.

Hopefully this was of some help!
