gt wings anyone?
don't put those cheap gt spoilers on your car, this isn't a honda.
if you want to put on a gt spoiler, do it right.
get a top secret or esprit spoiler. those arctually help your car instead of just adding weight.

from your signature looks like you have spend quite an amount of money on your Z. Don¡¦t stop, and get a cheapy $60 wing instead. That will just ruin everything that you have done.
With that being said, heres a quick photoshop that I have done.

just curious how some cars look, the only one I've seen that I like is the INGS+1 low mount wing
anything close to this one but for less than $1800.00
and any pics like the above are much appreciated
think the wing pictured atop this page would look ok painted with just the stands left black.

just because its made of aluminum doesnt meant it wont work
it WILL work.. just doesnt look the same.
anything higher than ~6-8 inches off the rear deck will place a wing into the air stream coming off the top of the roof...
the idea of a spoiler is to "spoil" the air coming off the roof and to make the air flow seperate sooner than it normally does to prevent the rear end lifting..
that aluminum wing will work just fine... just be sure you know what you want... high speed stability doesnt need that sharp of an angle of attack.. i.e. make it flatter...
if you want oobles of traction at medium speed, say 90mph. then you should angle the wing downward to force the air to push off the top of the wing..
low mount wings like the Mid-Ings are primarilty for looks... but will also help, but just not as much...

input please
can go either way, I'm not sure if i even want to put on a wing bu this one was given to me

Ches, i never said aluminum wings don't work. i know c-west uses some alunimum wings on their cars.
i was talking about the cheap spoilers from arospeed, r1 concepts, or any of those ricer companies. those spoilers aren't tested, they just create them for looks, they don't wake aerodynamics into consideration even though that's what they advertise.

Mike - not to burst your bubble here, but almost none of the "JDM" stuff is wind tunnel tested. In fact (and I may be one of the only vendors who would tell you this), most JDM stuff is not even JDM..its made in some of the very same factories as the "ricer" stuff. Not all of it, but a good majority. This is esopeically true with 350Z stuff...

I thought hawaii had a recon station..does hawaii have any inspection stations....how does it work there???
I dont know what happend with my other screen name, I could log in, but it wouldnt show any posts.
Well anyways about your wing, if it's not going to cost you much on paint, go get it painted and then you might get a better idea of what its going to look like, if you like it, install it.
