Clear Bra on Fiberglass.
Ok So I just bought an INGs Nspec Hybrid Aero kit.
Basically it's just fiberglass.
Anyways this kit is not lasting too well on the roads here in CA. I hit a twig yesterday and it took a good layer of fiberglass right off the lip. Now here's my question.
I'm having the chip repaired and repainted I also wanted to do will a clear bra reinforce this bumper alot better? I can't afford to continue fixing damages like this. If it makes it more durable maybe it's worth it.

I would say that it is a worthwhile investment... I don't have any aftermarket body parts on my Z, but the clear bra was the first thing I purchased... Used take 2 hour road trips home every weekend, on the interstate, and all kinds of stuff used to hit my car... Saw a rock come at the car one day, it hit the front end, where the bra was covering it, and only left a light scratch in the bra itself... the body under was untouched... Went through half-a-dozen windshields though...
I already did do a search. Couldn't find an exact question related to mine.
You have a stock Urethane bumper. This is different because those bumpers are flexible. It's a completely different situation.
I need advice from somebody with a fiberglass bumper...

I know of a guy back home with the replica Veilside 3 front on the Z, and hasn't complained, after getting the clear bra put on...

I thought the clear bra was more to protect against paint chips from road debris, not to reinforce the structural integrity of the bumper itself.
I'm sure that it will help, but if you're getting hit hard enough to lose pieces of fiberglass I'm not sure how much the clear bra will mitigate the damage. It's more of a piece to protect the aesthetics, not construction, of your exterior.

Well, all I know is he hasn't complained... either he isn't getting hit by anything, or he just doesn't care...
You're right, it does about as much as putting a piece of tape on, as far as structural integrity goes... Wouldn't accomplish much... Debris won't cut into the body part as quickly, but it's not a cure-all...
