Red face Help me with my RUBBER!

so this is what happend yesterday


and while i was looking i saw the same side bottom with this



so i went to auto zone when i left work

and ask a sales about my situation

he told me to get this


and befor i use it i try it out with other things

and soon as i opend it

the yellow gue inside start bursting out and big chunks

i didnt trust that thing

even tho it says PRO CHOICE




so guys... how do i fix this with out the PROS CHOICE?

i would take it to an autoglass place or at least call one and see if they carry a product that they use on the seals.

I'm not even sure if that stripping has a seal on it. I know the bottom doesn't because it comes off with the plastic pieces.

If you pinch the tip as you roll it down it prevents breakage

(yes, I had to be a smart-***)

Having watched my windshield being replaced twice already, I can tell you that it's not something you want to glue back in place. The positioning is a little more complicated than that. See the attached image for a diagram of how it fits.

My suggestion is to get a body shop or windshield guy to look at it - if you want it done right.

Miles on your car?

Agree. Why not let a windshield shop put that on properly?
