Default Temporary Disable Airbags for track days

I whacked the wall at HIN on Saturday and it got me thinking. I need to disable my airbags for track events in case something like this happens.

I figure I could jack a fuse maybe, but since I have a bit of time till the next event (or even driving the car) I figured I'd reach out and see if anyone had done this... I'm sure it's been done, but I couldn't find it searching.

Pretty sure removing the air bag computer would do the trick? Not sure tho...

Pull the clip on the bag sensor. its a yellow clip behind the front bumper on top of the support beam. Disconnect battery 5 minutes prior to disconnecting that.

cus if he crashes and the airbag deploys, it would damage the dash and make the car a total wreck

Also, if you are wearing a full face helmet, the airbags might break your neck.

Yea... walls suck...

Thanks for the info, but I have to ask... disconnecting the front sensor will that disable the airbags completely? I'm not familiar with Airbags since I'm used to driving old shitty s13's. Getting a shot in the rear won't set them off?

getting a shot in the rear should not set off the airbags. im fixing up a wrecked z hit HARD in the rear and the bags didnt blow. thats typical with most cars
