Default Cruise Control Added to Aftermarket Wheel

Installed Works Bell Hub with Personal Wheel and wanted to keep the cruise buttons.

Took them off existing Cruise Control module from the OEM wheel keeping the wiring intact.

Fabbed an ABS piece to the back of it.

Fabbed a metal bracket and it's installed in before the wheel hub.

Finish product:

+2 On being creative.

But -1 on the look. BUT that is just me, not my taste, but hey, if you like it, that's all that matters.

Can we see a pic from the passenger seat?

This looks like you did a pretty good job.

The work looks good, but I would have personally preferred to see the controls mounted either flush on the dash, in the cubby, or my personal favorite would be in the coin tray just for that really clean look.

Good job nonetheless!

Yeah I'd like to see this from the passenger side because I can't imagine it looks that good from there.

I'll have pics this weekend. I left the car at my friends house that builds roll cages for a living and having him take specs on duplicating the Kirk bar but welded in not bolted and welded in.

Since I'm in the car about 99% of the time passenger side view wasn't even an issue.

This car sees lots of track time and never sees G2Gs or shows so I really didn't even consider what it looked like from the passenger side.

Plus, if I sell the car, I easily put the module back on the stock steering wheel.

If it's an odd spot when I take a long of enough trip I can always move it's location with different buttons as the wiring is all intact.

Do you have any pics of the install or cut out pieces of the abs to show as a small DIY or help in a DIY?

can you show pics of how it attaches exactly....pics from the rear of it?

how about re-run the wires to the spot where the heated seat buttons are in the center console, or trim/fit/bondo/paint it to the spot right above the shifter, underneath the AC controls?

If I had a ride like yours I would consider it. Just wanted something functional, that I could easily put back to the OEM Wheel.

However, I really do like your idea.

i like the functional implementation you did, however, the sharp flat edge when you go to turn the key to on, just makes me think over time, that thing will either cut you, or the metal tab might bend/get in the way.

^ I agree.

From the pics, it looks like the right side of the piece doesn't have a cover as well.

I would address that.

Was just going for functionality. I can easily take it off and put it back on the OEM wheel if I get rid of the car.
