Default HID connector to non HID headlights

I have seen many threads on how to turn base models into HID, but I have a unique situation. i bought a 350z that had minor damage in the front and decided to fix it, but didn't notice the lights were not connected. It had been about two weeks in the body shop getting the hood painted and the bumper cover painted. I got the car back and the lights were not working. To my surprise, the lights were brand new but generic brand and were non HID. the wiring harness has the connector for stock HIDS. My dilema is the following. I have run out of money to buy new light assemblies I ended up buying the cheap HID conversion kit, but now have to do the rewiring. I dont mind doing the rewiring. i just cant seem to find the schematics for the wiring harness. I really dont want to cut into the cars harness, but if it calls for it I will. I also wanted to know if there is anyone that has cut their old base model wiring harness and still has the Halogen connectors. I had found a thread here last week but didnt save it where they had pictures of a mod that was done but the other way around. If anyone can guide me to it, I appreciate it. I think they had the color codes of the wires for the lights.
Thanks for any help you may have. I am going to post the pics so you see my dilema they arent that good since they were taken from a cell phone.

Hello friend. DO NOT cut any wire, just use a 12v tester to find positive and ground to the bulbs. May add a conversion kit to this car simply. Can contact me at sagaimports@prtc.net Thanks www.sagahid.com

Cool

I know that I can check the wires by using a multimeter, but either way, the connectors are different, I have to solder either a new connector on there, or splice a connector in there keeping the integrity of the original wiring harness intact. Either way, I have to get to the wires, unless I remove the pins, but I still wouldn't have the same amount of wires. the harness connector is an 8 wire set the headlamp connector is a 6 wire set (thats why I posted the pictures). I just need the wiring diagram with the color coordination for the headlamps to pin numbers so I know where the wires will go. I really don't feel like taking out the headlamp again to physically trace the wires all the way back, unless I have to. Any other suggestions, by te way, I already have the HID conversion kit.

Nothing yet. I am going to start the troubleshooting today. Just have to measure all the wires and find out the grounds and the proper inputs. Then I have to remove the headlamp and trace out the wires, mark them and splice some new wires in there. I will take pictures and keep you all posted.

Talking Here are the results...

Ok, here I was able to finish the Light assemblies. I was able to color code each wire. (Remember this is for a 2003 350Z performance). Recap: Wire Harness had the HID connectors, installed were the base light assemblies- non HID. Had to make the connectors work.
here is the wiring harness for each with color codes and pin associations...

HID Wiring Harness...

Terminal Number (Color Codes) LH Wire Association

3 (Red/Yellow) Head Lamp High 12VDC
7 (Red/Black) Head Lamp Low 12VDC
8 (Black) Head Lamp Low Ground
4 (Black) Head Lamp High Ground
2 (Green/White) Turn Signal 12VDC
1 (Black) Turn/Parking Lt Ground
5 (Red/Blue) Parking Lt 12VDC
6 (Red/Blue) Parking Lt 12VDC

Terminal Number (Color Codes) RH Wire Association

3 (Brown) Head Lamp High 12VDC
7 (Red) Head Lamp Low 12VDC
8 (Black) Head Lamp Low Ground
4 (Black) Head Lamp High Ground
2 (Purple/White) Turn Signal 12VDC
1 (Black) Turn/Parking Lt Ground
5 (Red/Blue) Parking Lt 12VDC
6 (Red/Blue) Parking Lt 12VDC

Note: There are two grounds for the headlamps, one will become obselete, I recommend isolating the highbeam because the lowbeam is a lower gague therefore can take a higher amperage. There are also two parking light 12VDC, so one can be isolated.

Now since the wiring harness I had was HID, I did not get the color codes for the non HID, but had the to trace the wires back to the light assemblies to find out which pin was what and the pin numbers... Here they are...
Pin number and Wire Association
1 Turn Signal 12VDC
2 High Beam 12VDC
3 High/LowBeam Ground
4 Turn/Parking Lt Ground
5 Parking Lt 12VDC
6 Low Beam 12VDC

The next step was to remove the tire, then the front fender cover, there you have complete access to the light assemblies.
I removed the pins from each connector (the eight from the wiring harness and the 6 from the light assembly. The great thing is that the female pins fit perfect with the male pins from the connectors. this way, you still maintain wire integrity and you can always convert the harness and the lights back to original status.
In the following pictures you will see how the pins were connected along with the isolated wires and how they were sealed. I had shrink tubing that I used to insulate the wires (had some left over from when I used to work on planes). I wrap tied everything and put it all back together and finished the job. If you have any questions, you can go ahead and PM me or email me. Email is ag_enterprises@live.com

Can ANYONE chime in on how to pull the wires out the connector?????

I figured it out btw, to remove the prongs out the connector you simply take a hook ended tool and scoop out the center portion (green part).. Then you push back the little gray hooks with a pick type tool and pull down the prongs.....

Easy Diy.....

Does anyone have a breakout like this for the 2005 convertible?? swapped out the headlights, splice the 8-pin connector to the new headlights, and my turn signals do no work. Hi beams, lo beams, and running lights work though.
