emblem trouble....!

Default emblem trouble....!

so a friend of mine took his rear 350z bagde off and after waxing, it still left a little outline still in the clearcoat. anyway of getting this to come out? buffing perhaps

probably just a little glue residue
try some WD40 on a soft cloth
should clean it right up

This is a ghosting effect. where the emblems have been on the paint long enough in the sun.
You will need to take some rubbing compound and buff it out. If that won't help a little wetsanding and buffing is needed. If its an older model Z that has had those emblems on there for awhile your still gonna see the outline of the letters even with wetsanding and buffing at certain lights and angles.

paint should clear it up.

i know of what you speak as I just shaved the hatch on my 2003...
we painted it though.

little bit of goo-off and then clean with soap and water and wax that area = done

yea a friend of mine has an ingredient called "oops" it took the gum somebody put on his hood off! not sure if it will work the same

sun shouldnt cause that much difference in paint color, try goo-gone. if that dosnt work, get a nice cutting pad and take off alittle clear coat around that area and your set.

yea he used an oil base of some sort and he still has clear lines where the emblem was. so now hes gona try and get it buffed out.
