Default Help! My Cluster Isn't Working!

I started up my car today and noticed none of the gauges in my cluster work and the VDC, low fuel, brake and SLIP lights stay on. The back lights turn on and the seat belt light turns off when I put it on. The only thing I've tried so far is disconnecting my battery for a minute but to no avail. I didn't think it would be fuses since I'm still getting power to it.

Any suggestions before I take it to the dealership?!

Thanks!

1: Try leaving batt disconnected for about 45min - 1 hour, then hook back up. I believe 30min is the min to allow the ECU to reset.

2: Check fuses for cluster

3: Thats all I got, but its worth a shot.

Thats a very strange combo of events you have there.

Battery disconnected. I know right, the blinkers work but not on the cluster and the "information gauge" is stuck on MPH and all it shows is dashes.

Reconnected the battery and nothing. I looked at some old threads about similiar problems but no one said if/how it was fixed. Oh well, looks like a trip to the dealer this week.

Yeah and saw some interesting facts about the VDC and Slip lights being on that I didn't know...couldn't find anything on the gauges.

Take it to a parts shop and see if they will run a free diagnostic scan on it. If it throws a code research that code and go from there. Odds are it sounds like a dealer fix. Could be a lot of different things.

I took it to Advance Auto and it threw a fuel level sensor code. I ended up taking it to the dealer and it was the AC amplifier. I guess the wiring from my AC controls to my gauges are directly related. Anyhow, $600 later everything works fine.

AdvabZ33 did they tell you what exactly happened? I was installing a new Headunit and my Z did the same thing happened! I know I had to Splice in to the VSS wire connected in the AC controls I am wonder if that has anything to with it!

No they didn't. I do know they had to call some head mechanic at Nissan just to find the problem.

Similar situation happened to me except my fuel gauge is reading empty and vdc/ slip light came on the dash and navi screen. I took car off and tried to restart and it just cranked and didn't start. I disconnected battery for about 30min and the vdc/slip light came off but fuel gauge remain to read empty....good part is that it did start up lol

I should have updated this thread but I'm sure you got it figured out by now. It was my AC module (white box under the stereo) so yes, if you spliced wires then I'm sure that was the problem.
