Angry Who Has Painted HID Headlights, Did This Happen To You!!!???

Look at my lenses...... This WAS NOT done by me btw.. Painting was done by Mr. Zipps.....

I just pulled the lense off a few mins ago...

I tried to sand... But I feel like its inside the plastic lense... It looks horrible....

Would some 350z ebay headlight lenses be able to replace these?? Anyone know?????

you seeing tiny cracks everywhere up close? I had it on mine too. Your heat was probably too much in the oven or you leave it in there too long. Not a big deal for me....

I dont think so because when I rubbed the inside it was smooth... I figured if the paint did that it would have some contamination from inside...

I thought it was that too... Im wondering if anyone here ever swapped out lenses for the 06 HIDs, with 03-05 headlight lenses??

And it JUST started doing that? Or was it like that the whole time?

Not letting the paint cure would cause hazing. That looks like some sort of stress crack.

if you put your eyelids on these then that is what caused it. Eyelids and overlays WILL cause stress cracks.

IMO the pattern on there directly relates to your old eyelids shape. I would not place the blame on mr Zipps for this one.

They are not repairable with sanding.

Same thing happened to a set of headlights I painted. It bothered me alot so I replaced them with stock unmolested ones. I want to black em out again but worried the same thing will happen.

Im not sure how long he let them sit.. I never touched them because I didnt have the time as a Drill Sergeant to be without the car for a simple headlight fix.. So I just decided since I now have the time I would pull them off and fix them..

Damn Jay. Hope the ebay lenses work homie. My Mr. Zipps were pretty good, but there were some imperfections and after about two years some stress marks started to appear above the projector.
