Default OEM Spoiler - question regarding drilling

So, I've purchased an OEM spoiler from Spoiler Depot. I was a bit surprised that it came with no template or installation instructions but, hey, I like a challenge!

I found the pdf template elsewhere in this forum which I'm having one of my friends at work print out on a graphic plotter, but had another question which I haven't been able to find the answer to so far. I'm at work so can't check my car to find out. My question is:

When I remove the interior panel from the rear hatch, are there internal markings / indentations showing where I should drill the outer mounting holes without using the template? Some posts I read gave me the impression there are but I couldn't be sure.

Thanks in advance,

Davy.

I just used 3M double sided tape for mine and had it for 2 years with no problem.

Never mind...

Apologies to Spoiler Depot - there were install instructions and a fairly basic (though looks as if it should work) template on the side of the shipping carton in the sleeve with the FedEx way bill.

Update - installed the spoiler this evening. Probably an hour from start to finish. Easy peasy and looks great - prefect color match (MB) and fit.

Here's a few photos I took today. Had to wait until the rain stopped. Was beginning to feel like I was back in Ireland...

Photoshopped the rear 350Z badge out to try and figure out if I would prefer the rear to be a little cleaner. So to speak...

Offered a small prayer up to God, clenched my butt cheeks, steadied my nerve, and then went at it with the drill. Took it slow and steady and had no issues.

Having said that, I'd marked the center line of the rear of the car out with masking tape as well as doing the same with the spoiler and made 300% sure that I was placing the spoiler in the correct position before applying the two templates to the trunk lid.

Have since removed the '350Z' badge from the rear to tidy it up a little.

*thread resurrection*

I have a spoilerdepot OEM replica spoiler currently attached with 3M tape only, but the ends are lifting up (due to thermal contraction and less than 100% OEM fit, I suppose). So I would like to remove it and this time re-install using mounting screws as intended.

Unfortunately I don't have the hardware that came with the spoiler...or maybe I do and just can't find it. Questions are:

1) Should I use fully threaded studs in the spoiler with nuts on the inside of the hatch to secure it? Or should I use screws coming up through the inside of the hatch?

2) In either case, what should I use to seal the hole around the screw from water ingress?

Take it to a body shop they'll either drill, drill plus 3m for you for around 30~50. Oem spoiled is the best looking spoiler for z IMO.

I know you're not going to believe me but you should redo it with the 3m tape. Just make sure to clean both surfaces well with alcohol to get all the wax and grime off the paint and make sure you don't touch the adhesive with your fingers.
I know this video is cheesy but is shows how strong the tape is.

No dice. Already tried twice, both times fully washing and de-greasing the hatch, and applying the 3M adhesion promoter before sticking on the spoiler. I even let it sit the second time for 9 days with a bag of sand on each end to get the ends to stick. But every time the temperature and/or humidity varies to a certain degree, the ends come undone. I'm thinking it's because a) the spoiler does not fit the contour of the hatch as well as the OEM (although it's close), and b) the material of the spoiler is more thermally reactive than the OEM material.

So does the OEM spoiler use screws coming up from the inside, or fully threaded studs sunk into the spoiler with nuts securing it on the inside of the hatch?
