Default Any way to fix scratches on plastic headlights?

It looks as though something has rubbed up against my headlights causing a fat long scratch. Is there any way to change just the plastic or take the scratch out.

Toothpaste may buff it out. It's a fine polish :-)

You might use a 2000 grit sand paper to sand it 1st. If is the scratch is really deep, you may want to use a 1500 grit then use 2000 grit sand papper. At the end use rubbing Compound to polish it. It should be gone.

there is plastic polish stuff that you can get that helps sometimes, but yeah rubbing compound and toothpaste can work as well.

what flavor? i prefer aqua fresh since it has the triple color barrier which gives added protection AND a refreshing taste!

Default Plastic polish

I wouldn't use toothpaste since the grit size varies by brand.

The plastic polish you can buy at a good auto parts or hardware store is much more predictable and easy to use.
