Default 06-08 Headlight Amber Bulb

I recently upgraded my 05 Z with the 06+ Xenon Headlights. Its nice to no longer have that amber strip, but when operating the new lights, I notice that there are a series of small amber lights (led?) that light up near the top corner.

Is it possible to replace these with white lights? I'm not talking about the turning signal bulb.

It's possible but I'm pretty sure you have to open up the whole headlight assembly to do that. Meaning you'll have to put them in the oven to open them

Its possible, but a ton of work to just change the color of the LEDs. You will have to open the light to get to them, and they are just little LED modules soldered to a board, not individually wired. While you got your headlight apart, don't forget to black it out!

Just swap the parking light to an amber bulb, and it will all match.

Yup, I'm definitely blacking em out! That sucks that they are soldered onto the board. Thanks everyone for your replies.

Yeah, it sucks about all the work that has to be done to change the running LEDs. Mine are blue and are for sale

I'm wondering what type of LEDs, PLCC-2?

I've got blue, red, green on hand with white ones on order. I've got a full soldering rig, let me know if you need someone to change them out after the board is out.
