I am debating between the d2s 6k with blue tint, or purple tint. I found some threads with members saying the purple tint looks real nice, but couldnt find any pictures. If you guys have any pics with d2s 6k BLUE and PURPLE tint, that would be much appreciated.

No, thats not what I meant. 8k or 10k is blue, and 12k is purple, but the website I am looking at to buy HID bulbs, they offer 6k bulbs with either a blue tint, or slight purple tint. I was just wondering how big of a difference there is between them.

I sell the most of 6k followed by 8k. I try to stay away from anything higher as it greatly reduces the visibility. I have 8k on my car and it still gives decent lighting and offers a nice blue color.

From what I have been told... If it's over 8K it's illegal. I can't see the lighting laws be that different from state to state. But could be wrong. Maybe someone from Cali can chime in...

 

Thats what everyone told me, but I have been running 10k on my car for over 6 months now. I have stopped behind cops in front of them and on the side of them, and none of them have pulled me over for it. I even got pulled over for speeding and the cop didn't say anything. I think it really depends on the cop on how much of a mean and awful officer he is.

 

wrong. a 6K cant have purple tint. its not 6K if it has a purple tint. what are they going to do, tint the glass? so blue light with purple tinted glass? that doesnt exist and if it did, itd suck.
i owned an HID business for 2+ years a few years ago. 6K is awesome i have it on my Z.

btw, anything over 8k is rice. there's a Camaro here that has purple HID's and i dont see how it could possibly be legal. plus it looks homo.
