The stock 350Z headlights are already projectors, so unless yours are damaged in some way, you don't need new headlights. I guess you might be getting it for the painted portion though.

Anyway, as for HID kits, I personally wouldn't go any higher than 6k, otherwise it will look too blue. 6k is perfect mix between blue and whie IMO. I have that color on my car and can post pictures if you're interested.

Also, I just got a cheap ~$60 HID kit off ebay, and it works great (had it for 3 years or so, no problems). I doubt the kit you'd be getting from the above link would be any better than the ebay kits.

Those aren't projector anyway. What are "crystal" lights that use H1 bulbs?

Not to hijack the thread here, but what exactly is the difference between an HID kit vs the 03-05 OEM HID projectors?

A HID kit and projectors are two different things.

You have a enthusiast model correct? You already have HID in the car. All you need is new bulbs, not the starter and ballast that comes with the kit. If you have a base then you will need the kit.

If the op wants to go with a higher wattage he'll need new ballasts.

Dont buy those junky ones if you already have HID.

Either buy used oem ones, or just paint the ones you have.

And buy some 6000k or 8000k bulbs from anywhere.

If you already have HID lights, the wiring harness will not fit your car. The Base and HID equipped models have different harnesses.

Did you polish them or get them polished with a nice orbital buffer, or by hand?

The reason I ask is because doing it by hand is just about worthless, but a buffer can work some magic.

Those headlights are meant for a base model. You'll have to mess with your wiring to get them to work and you'll be doing all that to downgrade to lesser quality HID ballasts and cheap quality headlamps.

What you can do is buy the cheapest ebay headlamps you can find, bake them, take off the front plastic lens, bake yours, open yours, paint yours (if you want), then replace your foggy/scratched lens with the ebay lens.

Or just use a buffer and see if you cant restore your lens.

Or buy some used OEM HID headlights that are in better condition.

There is nothing wrong with the headlights. They usually get dull and fogged up because of lack of maintenance. Here is a pic of my 2003 headlights and they are as clear as when they were new.

even if you have a base model z(in my case) you can still run HID's... i have HID highs and lows... swapped 3000k into the highs (for looks not functionality... phail i know) and i run 8000k for my running lights... just take your car to a shop that will know what you need to run the HID and they will set it all up... if you try to do it all your self you will get lost...

as for the ebay crap lights... i would suggest against it... i have heard some bad stories about those... look good at first but then shyt starts happening (moisture etc....) just find a nice set of USED OEMs to replace yours with... i just replaced my old set with a NEW OEM set directly from Nissan about a year ago. i also baked and painted the inside before i even installed them onto the car!

your headlights will change the complete appearance of the car so when you do it make sure to do it right... eBay lights from what i heard (NOT 100% SURE) just cant be trusted i guess...

if you do decide to get the headlights please keep us posted on how they hold up as im sure a lot of other people would be interested in swapping out if some actual ground work was done and noted.

HTH
