Default Installed Recaro Pole Positions // Airbag lights on // Pic

Hi,

I have a 07 base model. I put my new Recaro Pole Position seats. Now I got this flashing airbaglight on my speedometer, that the airbags might not blow off after an accident. Someone knows what to do?

Thanks,
Alex.

do a searach for the airbag light reset procedure:

https://my350z.com/forum/3603538-post3.html

basically, it involves turning your ignition on/off a bunch of times.

If the stock seats have airbags and these dont youre probably stuck with it on. In the passenger seat there is a gel bag that senses weight i beleive and if thats not in the new ones it wont go off. I swapped seats on my old Frontier and had the same problem and just lived with it. Good luck

My mechanic told me the same thing. This would be sh**. Is there no chance to solve this problem?

if you have a YELLOW connection harness underneath the driver seat that is unconnected, you most likely have a seat-side impact airbag that you will need to trick the car to think that there is an airbag in place.. you will need a 2.0 ohm resistor to do that, then proceed with the airbag reset procedure.

if you don't have a side impact airbags, then it might be the weight sensor for your passenger side.. like the poster above, you will need to remove the air/gel balast sensor in the oem passenger seat and put it inside your recaro or tie it up.

Sharpie or black sticker lol... if ypu can get that gel bag off the psgr seat and put it in the new one with the electronic portion of it, the light should go off.

For a second I thought you had installed the seats upside down. Then I noticed the steering wheel hanging from the roof.

There is a dummy connector that you have to mount on the oem harness so your light won´t pop up!
Sorry Guys!
