Default Installing 06 bi-Xenons in a 2005 base model?

I have been searching (only found 2 threads on here) about putting the 2006 Bi-Xenon headlights in my 2005 base model. I have read the connectors are different and not many if any have really done this. I have been all over Google and Bing searching for any information but I am not finding much of anything. The one thread I found on here was a couple years back and well the thread basically died without any good info. Has there been any new info on this and I am just overlooking it or not searching for the right keywords? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if you could just switch out the harness.

That would be A LOT of work for headlights but if I am shelling out the cash for them it doesn't seem like a bad idea. I am just wanting to know if anyone knows up any write ups where they have been spliced in/hard wired. It seems like something that hasn't been talked about much.

yes it is possible, and there are threads on here that show you how.

I have done this and simply searched and found a guide on how to do this. IT will require you to cut your existing plug harness and wire it to the bixenons.

Here is a link to a tutorial. You will need to type in ********* in place of the asterisks because My350Z will not allow links........................

http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Base_...Headlight_Swap

I'll try again. Type in 3 5 0 Z - Tech without the spaces and the link should work for you.

I recently did a DIY install of a set of '08 headlights & tailights on my '05 Z. The install was a total plug-n-play!! The Bi-Xenon headlights have one harness whereas the '05 had two harnesses. You use the larger harness from the '05 to connect the headlights; then tape of the other harness and you are done!!

Same for the rears; the '08 tailights have only one harness while the '05 had two harnesses. Connect the primary harness and tape off the other. The tuck the taped portion out of the way when re-installing.
