Customized stock hood?
has anyone done it??
i've searched, but couldn't find anything.
i'm looking into doing it to vent the engine bay of the excess heat i got from the SC.
not jumping onto an aftermarket hood yet.

Id be scared to tackle that one myself.. it would be pretty hard to lay out everything perfectly... maybe if you had a templet
I like the notches cutt out int he hood tho.. gives it a nice look.. but yea if i was you I would try some kind of templet.. and would be hard on a metal hood.. not impossible.. but def. not easy
Have you put a lower thermostat and had the fan kick on temps programed?
I know when I had my Trans Am.. that LT1 got hot as hell under the hood.. it was just a hot car period.. leather black.. t tops.. but yea.. seemed like once it got hot the car was like a oven...
however.. I got it tunned and had it programed for a 160 thromostat and had the fan temp kick in's changed to lower temps.. and well it stayed cool after that
maybe if you havn't done that yet it would help
