Default How different is the front bumper of 06-08 and 03-05?

Tried to search but can't come up with much, Ive got an 04 now and trying to buy an 08, but i want to keep my mines, lip, the bolt holes on the bottom look the same and the only difference i can see is the middle section sticks out a bit further than the 04

could that be shaved down a little so the 04 lip would fit, or does it need more modification

any help would be appreciated

As u noted, the bottom lip of the intake on the front bumpers is different. The only other subtle difference is that the width of the later model front bumper is actually wider at the bottom of the front wheel well, tapering to the same width (as the 03-05) about 18-20" up from the bottom of the front wheel well. I changed front bumpers on my '03 to the Nismo V2, and I replaced the front wheel well inner liners at the front so there would not be a gap with the new front bumper. Everything else fit just fine and the same between the early and late front bumpers. HTH

yea i saw that too but i figure since the front lip doesn't come anywhere near that marker that it wouldn't really make a difference, i suppose all i can do is try it once i get the car

Sorry, how are they different? Are they angled more towards the front or something?

I have the 06 bumper on my 03. The fender liners won't fit correctly. The 06 liners are different than the 03's.

They are shaped differently, and do not share the same pick up points. In other words, you cannot swap front side reflectors between 03-05 and 06-08: they will not fit the bumper mounts. Functionally, they work the same, it's just that they are styled differently.

So a 08 front bumper would just bolt on to a 04 model?

Yes, simply stated - the 08 front bumper will bolt up to an 04 model. However, you will have gaps between the 2004 inner fender liners and the lower 18-20" of the 2008 front bumper in the forward part of the wheel wells due to different tapers of the bodywork.
