Hi all is there anybody out there that can help me,
i have recently taken my mirrors apart and have had to take the pins out of the plug to take the mirrors out of the housing, i did have photos of it on my phone but i have since lost my phone highly please could somebody help picture up close would be great and also are the pins in the same order for both sides?

AAAARRGGGHHHHH!!! cant find any of them at all i've spent 4hrs trying to find on net aswell :-[ plz could some1 tell me which colour wires go where or wot order they go in?

Still no luck these are the wires i have on both sides
these are the wires on the mirror:-
purple
yellow
orange
pink
blue
These are on the door
grey
purple
yellow
green
red

 

What year and model is your car?

Worst case scenario is trial and error. There's only 120 ways you can put the five wires together. Once you get two of them in the right place, you've only got six combinations to try with the remaining three. Just get some spare fuses, and start plugging away.

Look at page 83 for the wiring diagram. It will help a lot to have an ohm-meter, but it's not entirely necessary. Look at the diagram on page 83 for the pin arrangement on connector D2.

On the door connector, the pins and colors should be:
1 black ground
2 sky blue power to defogger
6 yellow common to mirror motors
7 orange right-left motor
8 white up-down motor

Aging has probably changed the white to pink and the black to purple.

You can probably separate the mirror motor wires from the defogger wires by using the ohm-meter. The two defogger wires will have no continuity with the three motor wires.

Without knowing the results of that, I'd GUESS the wires should go like this on the mirror side:
1 black (purple)
2 green
6 yellow
7 orange (red)
8 white (grey)

I hope that helps, but don't send me a bill if it doesn't.

 

OMG!!! total stabb in the dark!!
it went from position
8 blue, 7 yellow,6 puple,5 orange, 4 pink!!??
