Holding down unlock and lock buttons on alarm
i noticed if you hold down the unlock button the windows roll down .. but why on earth doesnt it work in reverse. It seems more logical that holding down one of the keys should make the windows roll up, but i couldnt figure out how to do that if it was even possible.
Supposively, you can use the key to roll the windows back up with the car off (like in those funny Jetta commercials). Can't verify it since I haven't taken delivery yet. I know on my current Maxima you can roll them down but not back up (pretty retarded).
That's a very cool (no pun intended) feature. I would think you would use it more as you are approaching the car (to release the warm/hot air). Most folks would roll the windows up before leaving the car.
Of course, it would be cool if it could be done either way but nevertheless, it sounds awesome. Wish my top would automatically fold down sometimes with the push of a button on a remote.

maybe its a safety issue. for instance, your child has his head out of the window, and you mistakenly try to close the windows from inside the house. i know, not likely, but poosible. i think one touch windows that roll up are the same way.
I'll play a bit tonight, but I think the key will roll the windows up from the outside. Can't get the remote to do it. Holding both the lock and unlock buttons down together toggles the horn-beep notification on and off when you use the keyfob to lock the car.
I don't know about the Z but on my Pathfinder, when you turn the engine off and remove the key as long as you don't open any doors you can still roll the windows up, does the Z do that? Can anyone confirm this?

You can roll down both the windows with the key by holding it all the way ccw when you unlock the door. Once or twice I unlocked the passenger door, but I wasn't sure how I did it (maybe doing the unlock motion twice?) Didn't really think about it when I had the car, so one of you will have to try.
Another question. DO all the models come with the remote? The rental I got (enthusiast) didn't come with the remote.

My maxima has some of these features and they're all covered in the owner's manual. I imagine this would be the best place to find directions on your Z as well. Not likely they would add these features and leave them out of the manual.

The range on my fob isn't that great. The manual says 10 meters but it seems more like half that.
It would be nice to have remote window up on the fob but the key turning works just fine. I think we should also get extra buttons for redundant Homelink operation on the fob.
2 days ago, a 7 year bump occurred. It was supposed to be the most epic bump ever. You stole that from him. Smh. Congrats on being the only one in history to bump an 8 year old thread. "YaY". Lol.
