Very very quick question
I'm ordering D2R light bulbs for my 05 350z. Are the D2R light bulbs used for when driving on days? Since i have manual on and off headlight switches, if i turn off the headlights in the morning, the D2R bulbs are not used; if i turn on the headlights at night, the D2R bulbs are used, am i correct?
After installation, if i turn on High beam or low beam, just stock high and low beam light bulbs go on?

There is only one bulb for the headlight, either d2r or d2s. From my understanding, to turn on the high beam, there is a rod that moves to enable more light output, and it goes back over the bulb to reduce intensity. So you are using the same bulb for all the light emitted, its just covered slightly or less to emit more light.
So to answer your question, the d2r bulb itself does not replace your parking light, turn signal light, high beam, or low beam light. It is just the main headlight bulb which can be manipulated to be the high beam/low beam/normal driving.

lights.
This information above is correct for 2006 and up cars, but is NOT correct for your 2005.
The 2005 uses a halogen for the high beam, and the D2 HID is for low beam only. The hi beam is located unde the projector housing.
Using the term daytime and night time doesnt make sense to describe the two btw, but i didnt see your location.. maybe they say it different in your part of the world.
The 2006 headlight uses a mechanical flap in side the projector to cut off the top of the light beam of ONE single bulb.. and moves to allow hi beam light from this same bulb.
2005 headlights have 2 different static bulbs. Only the low beam can be HID.

i hope youre not American.. haha.
Yes when you turn your headlights on, the HID turns on. Your bright beam is Halogern and only works when the light paddle is pushed fwd.. They VERY RARELY burn out tho, and to have 2 burnt out is VERY strange.
There is an "undocumented" fuse box behind your battery . You must take ALL the plastic off around the battery to see it..
there are fuses there for the headlights. Id check that first before spending a single dime on lights.
its undocumented becuase most people would take the carr to a dealer for 100 bucks to have them do it when they cant find the fuse.. pretty crooked if you ask me, but hey, at least we all found the damn thing now.
