Default About to get tint but...

I've had the TSB for grease streaks done on both windows. Now I read that cars w/ the TSB tend to get scratches in aftermarket tint...am I reading this right? Will my tint be ruined since I have the TSB done? I need to know ASAP...

Thanks

No I had mine done and told the dealer that the windows are tinted and please watch they don't get scratched. They were fine after the work was done. At least by telling them, it's like a disclaimer to them to watch out for it or else they'll be footing the bill to have it replaced.

So the scratching is done in the application process? I already have the TSB done. Will I be ok to tint?

My windows were (and still are) tinted when I got the grease TSB done. No problems what so ever. Just make sure that whoever you take your car to, knows what they're doing and you'll be fine.

I'm not sure I follow you. How does metallic tint affect the tire pressure monitors? I have fully metallic tint on my 350Z and my tire pressure monitors work just fine.

BTW, yes the best tint out there is the metallic tint not only because it comes with a full lifetime warranty, in most cases, but also because it deflects the most sun.

I had my window streeking fixed after I got my tint. I put my windows down every time I get in the car. No scratches on my tint. 30% reflective on the doors.

Wow! I would have never even imagined that metallic tint would have any effect on tire pressure monitors. I wonder if those things function due to some kinda radio signal or something? I always thought the information was relayed through wires.

Anyway, my tire pressure monitors work just fine with the metallic tint on my car. Hopefully no one has this problem.
