Default New to the forum...few questions...

I bought my Z with most of the work already done (I usually don't do this, but it was too good to pass up). Haven't posted yet as I did a lot of reading on here before I bought the car; what to expect, etc. The outside is nicely done, but the interior is pretty well OEM. I'm not sure which way I want to go...half of me wants a "showy" interior, and the other half of me just wants "all business." I'm trying to figure out if I can combine both ideas. I cage is a must, I've already committed to that.

I'm not going to race it, drift it, etc. Its really a toy. Like I said, the deal was just too good to pass up. I might play with it for a while and then pass it on to the next guy. Not real sure what I want to do with it yet.

As far as the interior...I was browsing around and google brought up Carbon door panels. They look really nice and just wondering who's installed these and what sort of feedback do you have?

Also, I know this is the wrong place, but I figure you guys would know...where on this forum is the "swapped" section??? I've used the search to find some answers, but I'd like to see things spread out in case I don't know a key word to search for.

Thanks in advance!

If your not going to race/drift why is a cage a must?? just curious... oh as far as the cf panels i feel like they will be like alot of cf aftermarket stuff...hit or miss...could be great, could be crappy.

I just like the cage, I put a bar in all my cars. Don't know why, but I've always done it...my Miatas (obvious reasons there), my 2G Eclipse, my SVT Focus. I just like the look of it. And, you never know...I tend to let my 2 year old girl ride around with me, so I like to feel like I have the added insurance. <$1,000 for a bar is cheap insurance.

and a cage on a street driven vehicle is death waiting to happen. When driving with a roll cage you should have a helmet, 5 point harness and fixed race seat. Hans device is nice to include in this too.

I say "Cage" but actually should said "roll bar" as I only do main hoop and rearward braces. Did door bars once, but that's all. Sorry about incorrect terminology.

Pics of your Z OP?

I would pass on the door panels, too expensive and like Tonester said they probably need a ton of work.

Regarding the "swapped" forum, there isn't one specifically but searching by 'title' will give you the following:

I actually didn't think the price was that bad. I'll call and see if I can pull the "The economy is bad, yada yada, can you work on the price" card. If I can score em for $700-800 I'd be happy. I'm not worried about having to do work, I used to play with body stuff a few years ago. I've installed aero, and other carbon parts (authentics and reps) so I know what to expect.

Camera is fubared at the moment; the 2 year old thought Mt. Dew would be fun to pour on my computer desk which houses my lap top and camera. She's lucky I like her....I'll try and get some pics ASAP.

Thanks for the link Waizzz!

I definitely will, not sure how quickly I'll get to put em in. Life tends to keep me busy (kids, work, etc.)
