Default D2S replacement on a 2007...

Hello ... I looked around the forums and google and couldn't find a definite answer...

although it sounds silly and lazy on my part... I'd like to know what is the easiest / most efficient way to replace a d2s bulb on a 07 model headlight (projector) ... I just got a pair of 6ks and I was wondering if I really need to remove the headlight to it, especially when i got sausage fingers n wouldn't be able to squeeze my hand in there even if there were a gap. I haven't really found any DIYs to answer my question... and I don't think anyone would really make one...

just wondering if there is an easier way then actually removing the headlights ...

still learning about the car, just recently got it =)

thanks

Remove front bumper then remove headlights....

(or)

remove front wheels and remove wheel well liner.... but not sure if that will aloow you enough room. I would still do the above.

I just replaced my parking light bulbs last weekend on my 2006 by removing the wheels and peeling back the fender liner. There seemed to be plenty of access to the dust cap behind the main headlight bulb, and this method is easier IMO than removing the front bumper. Well maybe not easier, since it involves jacks and torque wrenches, but at least you avoid the risk of damaging your bumper or having to mess with it when you go to reinstall it and it inevitably doesn't line up properly the first time.

You could try and go through the fender liners but if you have fat fingers like you say you do then it could be a P.I.T.A.

I did the same thing with my parking lights...peeled back the liner. It was easy to get the bulb out but a pita to get new ones in because i left the wheels on. But i got it done.

there is a diy actually. I am not sure, but I think you can pop the hood and access it from the engine bay. I do know for sure, that the fender liner method works, don't need to take off the wheels, just turn it and jack the car up, or take off the front bumper. I prefer taking off the bumper and taking out the headlight, the fender requires a bit of work also. Your choice.

When I replaced my bulbs I went through the fender well, there is plenty of room there. I did take the wheels off the car for even more room.

God bless all of your souls ... lol a hardheaded friend almost made me take off my bumper ... I just jacked up the car onto 2 jackstands... n just taking off the clips on the fender liner gave me full access to the back of the headlights ... i was surprised how easy the install was, and how fast it went...

thanks for advice everyone ... now officially on 6Ks

oh .. also ZeeBracket went in as I just got my plates yesterday
