Default aftermarket front bumper

Flame suit on

I've been searching and searching here and have only come up with one answer: if i want a good fitting aftermarket front bumper i have to go with a shine auto bumper. I cant really justify paying the shine prices for a fiberglass bumper.

Can anyone chime in with a cheaper but still good fitment bumper?
Mainly looking into the Nismo V2 or Amuse rep.

I see DTM is selling bumpers like they're hot cakes (cuz they're cheap) in the vendor classified section but also have seen people post up pics and i am not too thrilled with the fitment on those.

Cracked my front carbon apron today so i think its time for a new bumper

Thanks

Pretty sure shine sells the same stuff as dtm. extreme dimensions makes a v2 front. They call it the n2, it is some kind of plastic rather than fiberglass.

Subscribed, as i'm in the exact same situation as you; broke.. or rather shattered my second Greddy front lip and i'm on the verge of purchasing a Shine Auto - Amuse rep. front bumper.

From what they advertise, Shine auto kits are made of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic). Dunno if its actually any better than just regular fiberglass kits but from what i've seen around here, their fitment is spot on.

And urethane kits (at least ones from Greddy) lick !!!!

I know Shine bumpers normally have a good fit. Haven't heard any horror stories about them and my kit was nearly spot on all the way around. They had two options when I got mine, PFRP(Hybrid) and FRP. I got the flexible PFRP and its has been great. It's been taco'ed by a tire shop and only needed minor repairs (they drove it into a parking curb). I think a Plastic/urethane option would be cool but they are tough to make so the market doesn't have many out there.

I have a shine auto bumper. The material is a flexible hybrid between fiberglass and plastic.
Great fitment too......
You'd be better off saving up for a better bumper, than splurging on something cheaper that may have fitment issues.

If you don't mind me asking, when and where did you get your front bumper? The only place that seems to be still carrying them now is from MVP motorsports, here in the forum market place and they only have one option of material to choose from. Even the official Shine Auto site/contact has been out of reach for some time.

Nah from personal experience, plastic/urethane shatters into pieces from the slightest bit of contact (also drove mine into a parking curb ( both times )) making it impossible to repair or patch up.

Mine were bought about two years ago from Shine directly. And yes when the tire shop ran over the parking block I called to get a quote on a new bumper and was not able to get through. However, honestly If I were to do it all over again I'd probably get the Aerosnyc ABS/urethane V1 bumper or a factory V3. Fiberglass is a pain to keep in one piece on a lowered car. Flexible or not you have to be on guard all the time. The plastic I'm refering to is the type that comes OEM or similar, durable as anything.

The N2 Front Bumper from Shine is available in their Full Hybrid Aero material or with the same material+CF lip on the bottom. The Hybrid Aero is the only material they use other than CF.
