Default Harness Install

Ok im newer to this forum so i have searched and came up with this thread:
https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...-question.html

But it doesn't give me really any clear answer.

I just got a 6 point takata harness from a member on here and im wondering in the 350 is it possible to mount this to the floor or should i put a harness bar in. Im not putting in a roll cage so whoever is going to suggest that please don't. I know that a floor install can be done but its not a safe as a harness bar. If anyone has done this before please let me know and maybe pictures would be amazing! If i can get help with this as soon as I install my harness ill be putting up a step by step installation guide.

thanks so much but please no usless comments.

Harness bar is the way to go........

but if you want to do a simple cheap mount point you can always do an eyebolt to the rear strut bar.

That can be done, but manufacturers do not recommend it.

^ you can find pics of that searching many harness threads.......ive seen some do this..

usually they remove the plastic, weld a 4x4 plate of steel with a threaded nut welded on to it, and then mount an eyebolt.

Ok, then my next question is this - why do you want a harness? Meaning, when will you use it?

I saw one Z in one of the workshops locally had his harness mounted to the floor. And it looks fine to me. As for a harness bar, I'm afraid that the harness might be easy to slide right and left. I might be wrong as this is my only thought.

Sorry don't have any pics, will get you some when I can

The only parts that should be mounted to the floor are the lap belts and the sub strap.
