Default 06+ tail light HELP

I just recently purchased a single 08 led tail light online since I already had the other tail light from a local seller. When the tail light finally came in I noticed its missing a cup harness (or whatever you call it) to plug into the oem wires.

my question is...what is this part called ? I've been searching through google for the past 20min trying to find out how much this part is going to cost me, I'd like to stay away from asking the dealership.

If anyone can provide a name for this part or a link to where I can purchase this harness i'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm sure someone on this forum will be able to use google in 2mins and find my answer, I will go ahead and apologize in advanced for my lack of googleing skillz.

thanks !

I think what you need is called a socket assembly, take a looksey:

Using the courtesy parts website, which is the best way I know of to identify OEM parts and part numbers, it does not appear that you can order the taillight-side wiring harness separate from the actual taillight housing. This seems rather stupid, but it would certainly not be the only instance in Nissan parts in which you have to buy a whole assembly when you just need one piece.

Taillight part numbers

Your best bet might be ebay or a junkyard... Maybe an 06+ taillight which has a broken housing but intact wiring.

I thought that was a possibility, but I believe that is just the harness for the lower bumper lights.

That parts is for the old 03-05 taillights, not the newer LED ones. It also just appears to be the socket that the incandescent rear turn signal bulb plugs into.

Ah I see now, you are correct that it comes as one piece with the light itself.

I wish I didn't throw away my broken LED a few years ago, I could have sold it to the OP

You could find the harness plug and probably wire it yourself, using the intact taillight w/harness that you have as a guide.

I still think your best bet is to find a busted 06+ taillight assembly on ebay or in a yard.
