Ordered and received a Seibon kit. Was really stoked until the body shop tried to fit it to the car. They couldn't get the front lip in place w/o scratching the $h!t outta my car or risk breaking it.

The side skirts appeared to be about 1" short wheel well to wheel well - so same issues.

Maybe that's why all the Seibon images I've seen aren't on cars?

Now I'm trying to get a return authorization.

Any thoughts, comments or ideas would be appreciated.

On some of those front lips, you have to remove the front bumper. Then you have to carefully bend the front and carefully slip the lip on, one side at a time. The side skirts are easier imo, its just time consuming becuase you have to remove the factory ones.

Just to re-cap: You're saying the autobody place didnt even bother to use painters tape and protect your bumper while test fitting? If so, I hope they fix the scratches. I wonder if they left the factory SS on while attempting to test fit the seibon ones?

Is this by any chance seibons "b grade" stuff that vendors are selling?

 

If they're not the real deal they're awesome counterfeits - down to the Seibon logo bags they came in. Never occurred to me that the bumper would have to come off, same goes for skirts. That's great input to go over with the shop guys.

Going back to the body shop tomorrow for some picks. They didn't use tape cuz the fits are so way off they never even got that close.

 

In for pics....I have seibon sideskirts and rear lip and I had no fitment issues.

 

Likewise, I have a JP lip no issues/Seibon CF Cwest lip you have to bend the front bumper to get it on and then adhese.

 

Throw that seibon crap away. Its junk. I learned my lesson buying crap from them. You will most likely not get a refund. They will blame the problem on you. They are the shadiest aftermarket company ever and I dont even know how they survive as a company. Id rather buy pepboys stuff. If you want a good comapny that makes kits for the 350z, I would recommend shine auto. Awesome customer service and great fitment. Shine Auto stuff is a million times better.
