HID headlights
Hey guys! Im the proud new owner of a 2003 350z touring. I have dreamed about this car for a long time and i finally got it! I have big plans for the car and am so excited. It seems like you all have a great community here. I just wanted to know if anyone knows what the stock headlights are. They look like either 6000k or 8000k. And say they are 6000, could you put a 8000k bulb in? Thanks in advance

I believe D2R is for 03-05 Z's and D2S is for the 06+ Z's with the bixenon headlights, correct me if I'm wrong though.
And 8k's aren't horrible honestly. From what I've seen in person, anything above 10k starts to look a little ricey although light visibility does decrease

ya, i dont want it to look "ricey". i just want that perfect balance of white and blue. It really looks classy if you dont go too blue with it.

5-10 years typically I think. They do get dimmer over their life span and eventually you'll want to replace them before they actually die. They will start producing weird colors and have startup issues when they are near end of life. Some aftermarket bulbs may be cheap in quality and only last a year or so...
