Default Body kit installation pricing?

Could anyone kindly give me an average quote on how much a decent shop will install a body kit on an 06 touring? Ex: veilside v3 kit with front bumper, two sides and back bumper. Please quote me with time of install and price if anyone has experience. Please do not include painting in quote. I am currently located in pensacola florida. thanks all!

I'm sure a decent shop could give you such a quote.

idk man imo for a shop to have to do alot of work to install a kit pretty much means the kit itself is sh!tty as hell

2 Things come into play when a price quote is given

1. depends on the quality of the kit. The price of install is based on how much work needs to be done to make it fit. This can be anywhere from a little bit of sanding to actually cutting and fabricating it to make it fit.

2. the reputation of the shop. If they're known for doing good work, they'll use it to their advantage. Anyone can screw on some fiberglass and call it a day, it's a matter of skill so if the shop has skill, they'll make you pay. Goes with the saying, you get what you pay for.

In my area,Atlanta...for a good shop that has body kit experience(look for auto customizing),$750-1,000.Of course.you could roll the dice and find some small shop that did his car and few friend's cars and get it done for half that price. No kit I've seen is an exact fit. There is always trimming and unexpected
stuff that a pro will know how to handle.

impossible question to ask because every shop charges different rates, and everyones version of "fits" is different

pensacola I'm sure has tons of body shops - you'll be able to find out the range by visiting the shops with your kit and asking them yourself, or check in your local regional forum for suggested shops other members have used

Close.

First hand knowledge:
Expect to pay 2000-3000 to paint and install a GENUINE veilside v3 with wide fenders.. and this would include cutting the rear fenders out and rewelding them. If you do not have an authentic kit, expect to pay more, period, end of story.

the kit is very labor intenseive and its like a jigsaw puzzle.. you have alot to line up before you start putting screw holes in things. And the gas door is an absolute and totaly ***** to mount correctly.

Again, multiply this by 100 if its not an authentic kit.. been there, done that, threw parts in dumpster and bought real veilside.

Since the kit you have isn't widebody, it shouldn't be that hard.

My dad and I did my v2 kit and everything turned out fine.
Plus we had little to no experience with body work.

^exactly if u buy from a vendor here with a good rep you shouldnt even have to do anything special to it. just install it. and make sure u get poly so it gives you some play to make minor adjustments unlike fb.

+1 on the poly.
I have a fiberglass kit. It's stiff. But it's manageable.
Install for us noobies would have been a lot smoother if it were poly.

Just wondering op are you planning on painting the kit yourself and then having a shop install it? Sometimes even parts from reputable vendors require a little work. Better for u to have a shop fit paint and install it, my .02 cents.
