Default CARBON FIBER : Front Grille Overlay : Anyone ?

I was just looking at the posting for the CARBON FIBER Side Front Bumper refletors Overlay idea and came up with this. . .

Would anyone be willing to do an Overlay for our stock front grilles? Some companies have those three pieces that just cover the three bars we have now. . but in chrome. . . how about something like that in CARBON FIBER? I think it would look very sleek if anyone is wanting to do CARBON FIBER accents on their Z.

If someone would be willing to do this, I would be in for a set. I have Silverstone and thinking of doing CF Accents.

Hope someone out there sees this, thinks it's a good idea, and can do it! :-)

you mean flat pieces that sit on top of the 3 bars? wouldnt you barely be able to see this? especially because the carbon is a dark color.

im sure i could to that fairly easy though if thats really want you guys want.

Jessica, I tried to send you a PM - but your inbox was full. . . here was my reply.

I was trying to find examples of the grille they make now, that you could just change to CF, but I can't find any! hehe.

Basically. . if you look at the stock grille, there are three plastic bars going horizontal. What I was just thinking was to design a covering that could go over those three bars. Heck, I could just have Carbon Fiber vinyl cut to cover them. . . but I want something a bit more higher quality for a car that is over 32k.

Do you have an idea of what I'm trying to do? If you can do this, that would be amazing. It wouldn't be hard, I just don't have materials to do this.

oh, and "Rockshox" - yeah, it would barely be able to see. . . but I'm just accenting my whole Silverstone in Carbon Fiber, and thought this would be a small - but nice touch.

big waste of time and money IMO....you really wont be able to see it at all..and how do you presume that it will attach to the stock grill?

No you won't be able to see it a whole lot, but it's much better having that on my Silverstone, than having flat black horizontal bars.

As far as attaching it to the stock grille. . . I am not an inventor, so I'm not sure how it would work - but I would suggest to find someone that has the chrome 3 pcs overlay for the stock grille to see how that is attached, and go with the same method.

It wouldn't be hard, just not in my expertise :-)

not following how CF black is somehow different than solid black... the weave would barely have like 2 rows if that; so you wouldnt be able to even tell it was CF.

sorry to say; but CF is getting overdone. what was once a performance modification for light weight is becoming an asthetic mod to look fast. probably not what people want to hear tho.

I'm sorry, but I am not wanting to make my front grille CF to look fast. . . that statement made me laugh when I read it!

Everyone has their own opinions. . . I just want something a bit different. Even gloss black would be fine. Just anything that isn't chrome or flat black like it is now. Figured everyone is talking CF, so I thought I would toss out an idea.

Looks like some are interested in my idea. . . again everyone has opinions.

Im imagine the chrome doorsill thing but instead of chrome its CF...
