Are aftermarket LED bulbs any good?
tried doing a search but didn't find anything (maybe i was using the wrong search terms?
)
I noticed 2 of the bulbs in my headlight assembly are out and figured i might as well go with LED replacements.
I was wondering if the LED replacements for the parking light, turn signal, and sidemarkers are 100% direct plug and plays? No random electrical problems?
I found this video which has some pretty good info

the guy talks about having to do a resistor mode to prevent quick flashing for the blinkers...is there a bulb brand that has a built in resistor?
Thanks

after doing some more research it seems that LEDs are heat sensitive and are easily damaged by the HID lights? For those that have the LEDs...how long have they lasted before blowing out?

I purchased 2 sets of 194 SMD towers from superlumination.com. I had an 8000k pair, and a UV pair. In each set, one of the bulbs some of the leds quit working or would flicker. It was super annoying having to order new ones all the time..

i will tell you that the ricer look of 6k blue ( call em white but they arent) leds looks terrible.
We all want it to look like the Lexus color, nice n crisp etc.
Well thats called 5k, and the best LEDs ive ever owned are from v-leds.com
Turn signals ar e a differnet story, they are NOT plug and play. They will not flash correctly unless you get resistor blocks for them.
There are several types to choose from.
Best bet is to email vleds and tell them your model car and year, that you want 5k leds, and to send you part numbers you should order. Unreal fast shipping and my leds have never lost a dot or flickered yet. EVERY other led ive gotten from motoringmax or ijdmtoy on ebay are totally worthless.
