Default 6k or 8k bixenon bulbs?

6k or 8k bulbs for best light performance? I got new STI-r retrofited headlights on 10k bulbs , oem hid ballasts. I know they can be brighter. Let me know what you think.

4300k is best light output. Higher you go, the less output, but bluer/purple.

Most ppl go for 6k for more of a white output, but my vote is for 8k. It's white with a little bit of blue. I also sacrificed some light output because I live in a well lit city and I can pretty much drive w/out headlights on. See what you can afford to do.

Agree. Bright and color (degrees Kelvin) and not the same. Look at a color chart and make your decision.

I will change them tomo for 6k most likely. But 8k sounds nice. I still want that blueish look. I will test them out.

i think it's pretty obvious, to yourself included, that 6k will have a better light performance than 8k

isnt stock hid like 4300?

I run 10k and i will attest that it is not bright enough and they will be replaced soon due to this fact.

yeah I mean with the STI-r lens retrofit I thought it was going to be super bright with the 10k. The cutoff is nice but not really the output. They are bright enough to light up the freeway good enough but in city streets they are not that bright. I think I will indeed go with the 6k. The STI lens should make the light look with a tint of blue.

6k is amazing, diamond white. It has a bluewish diamond tint, but doesn't look rice, it looks like it belongs there. 8k+ is too ricey for me.

You driving up to a movie Theatre, the line of people stands outside waiting... youre driving up from like 200-300 ft away this is what people say:

6k: Dam, what car is that, looks sick...

8k: haha look at that civic, once the car gets closer, oh its a nissan, just with ricey lights.

No offense to those of you that like blue lights and want it to look that way, those are just my 2cents.
