a buddy of mine recently picked me up two sets of super bright white led strips and i really wanna put them under the dash and wire them to when i open my doors they come on but have no clue how to do this, i was thinking about just wiring them to the dome light fuse located in the kickpanel but idk if that will blow it or what? ive read other places that its a royal pain in the *** and once started to wire stuff to the fuses they had problems with there dome lights so any help would be amazing! thanks

 

Ive had em wired up to the dome lights on my scion tc by a t tap on a wire. I dont see why you wouldnt be able to do it on a Z. We have those lights on the doors on the G's so maybe that?

 

if its an SMD strip, it will be fine as it has built in resistors to equalize the load. The issue they will not really dim well, it will kind of flicker as it shuts off.

Hitting it in the fuse box is perfectly fine. Not a big deal.

 

ok cool thanks yeah i have the wires ran to the dome lights bout to finish up the wiring today so from the led strips to the dome light connector which two wires do i need to splice into? the red and purple on or the red and black one
