I do believe there are holes to be drilled as well as some type of glue to be applied. I am the average "dummy" and I personally would not want to take that on myself just because I don't know the first thing about applying a spoiler. All the alignment to make the spoiler fit just right makes me nervous, I just know that I would mess something up. Check around for pricing though.

If it's the factory piece then their should be a templete to attach to the back trunk of your 350 , I drilled holes to attach the piece as well as new trunk cylinders to replace the factory one's some have used tape but I wouldn't trust tape alone, if your not sure about doing it safely yourself then bite the bullet and get it done by a professional

Is it an aftermarket spoiler? If so, do you already have the factory spoiler installed? If you do, the aftermarket spoiler might use the same holes.

I bought the factory spoiler from another user on this forum, and wanted to do it myself.

Install is not too bad, just make sure the "template" is set properly. No kinks, very flat.

When removing the large panel, some of the plastic clips broke, but inside the factory kit they had a bunch of replacement ones.

When drilling, I used a vaccum to suck the shavings (while drilling). Also, stuck a small flex magnet inside all the holes to make sure to remove all metal shavings, then vaccumed again.

Affter all holes were drilled, I painted all the bare metal areas where drilled.

Make sure to remove the double stick tape after you put the spoiler on BUT before putting on the nuts.

Make sure to use the factory struts that come with the kit. The stock ones don't work.

Overall, not too hard to do, just kinda scary at first (the first hole) but I'm glad I did it.

you really are only holding down your spoiler with double sided sticky tape? Isnt there going to be a decent amount of downforce applied onto the spoiler? I could be wrong, but im just wondering.

The 3M double sided tape is made for applications such as this so it is pretty sticky, and holds the wing on well.

some spolier can be held just by 3M doubl sided tape. My cousin;s Brabus spoiler for his MB E320 is tape on also.
