Saw a lot of threads on here about shorter antennas, from s2000 ones to cheaper acura antenna etc. After looking at all my options I chose a different one i found online and am very happy with it so i figured id post up some shots for anybody interested in a somewhat cheap short antenna.

The reason i chose this over all the other ones is simple, you get the nice appearance of a short antenna, but if you ever really need crystal clear radio you can easily extend it for better reception. Most people like myself never even use the radio anymore but its a nice option to have. The part that shocked me is that in the closed position it sounded perfect. No loss in radio signal as far as i can tell, if anything i think it sounded even better! So for anybody looking for a nice short antenna without any signal loss i would highly recommend this antenna!!

its a forum so i guess i have to expect useless comments. I saw a lot of people saying they liked shorter antennas but hated the reception the got with them so when I found this one i thought id share and maybe help somebody out.

True, i live in a pretty nice area though and haven't really had any problems in the past with anything like that so hopefully it will last. Worst comes to worst if it gets stolen ill take a $15 loss and just put the stock back on or maybe something a little less flashy thats just shorter.

I prefer the s2000 antenna, but to each his own.

 

Ill take that bet. Like i said i live in a good area, not saying things don't happen over here because they do everywhere, but I've never had little things taken off any of my cars. They seem to focus on radios if anything, and even thats a very rare occasion. The main thefts i see in my area are for morons who don't lock their car doors half the time, in which case they deserve the reality check.

yea i mean don't get me wrong the s2000 antenna looks nice just figured id try something different didn't see anybody with this one. If anything happens to mine though the s2000 antenna will be next. And if something happens to that I'm gonna shave the damn antenna hole off like somebody else on here did haha

 

I have a short antenna meant for an '08 Dodge Avenger on mine. Cost a whopping $4 at the Dodge dealership. Much cheaper than the s2000 and aftermarket ones, without sacrificing sound quality.

Yea i mean it really depends on your area, if anything on my car was to be stolen it wouldn't happen in my town, I prob have the cheapest car in my area.
