Changing up the Z

Changing up the Z
So for the few that know me here you know I have been all picky about my Z. For those that don't know I bought a 2006 at the start of the year, but was unhappy with the rims and the paint job. Rims were MMR 20s which just looked silly and the silly paint to match. The roof was Interlagos Fire and everywhere else was Maroon from a pretty crappy paint job. Was so bad it was cracking on the fender and the hood. Some of the people here told me to take my time, but I was just not feeling it. So rims had to go and paint needed to be redone.
After researching some shops and talking to the owners I ended up in Long Beach with Car Pound Auto Body and Paint. Met up with Leo on a Saturday and we went over my car, my plans, and an estimate. What started out as a simple paint job quickly changed up a bit. Body kit was talked about as well as a custom paint since I might as well go the distance with it. Leo has stay on top of things and has sent pictures through out the whole process.
I purchased a Nismo V2 Bodykit with the Poly front bumper from BAUSAuto. Ben and Eric were great and took a lot of time to answer questions I had. They offered suggestions and also let me know they could get me other items for my car as needed. I went back to them for tires as well. If they can price match or get the item they will point you in the right direction as well. They have been great and I look forward to continuing business with them.
Anyways enough typing for a bit. Here are some pics of the car which is moving to the painting process tomorrow.

Yeah saw that, but I have no doubt he will make sure everything is right even if he has different way about going after it. I am more concerned with the finished product which should be by Saturday or sooner. I have seen othe cars worked on and they have had the exhausts taped off. Could be from all the sanding maybe?

Not sure why they primered all the parts while they were on the car...at least they covered the wheels! I also see primer on the power steering cooler/lines.
Not sure how the rear bumper is going to turn out with the turn signals still in there and just taped off.
I noticed that you had them fill in the rear wiper hole, too. I hope you got them to weld it, because if it's bondo/body filler, it'll start lifting after a little while. There's a tiny bit of body flex when you make turns and that location is effected by it.
We'll see how it turns out.

HAven't been able to talk to Leo much because of my hours, but I will ask about that. 3/yr warrenty with all the work so I will double check the holes. I believe he told me they would weld.
Yeah we will see man. I have faith in Leo to make sure all is right when I pick up my car. I think you will be seeing it Saturday so if you see something let me know as I am sure he will fix it to make it right.

rubicant is a prime example of how things can go very wrong. Hopefully everything turns out great!

you sure the car got repainted? I got the same car and color code. The paint is like that from factory. It changes color maroon/deep purple to brown when lights hit it at a certain angle. You sure its only the roof and not the rest of the car? The Interlagos Fire is the most expensive paint to make in the Z line, thats why they only make it in one year, 2006. It such a rare and unique color, you should have kept it. See my profile for pics of my car.
