Default Paint Opinion

I am currently having a V2 front bumper installed. If you look at the picture attached, my car is Daytona Blue and the majority of the bumper will be painted DB. The portion circled and the bottom lip are going to be black. My question is, the painter thinks flat/matte black would look the best but in most of the pics I have seen of this setup they are gloss black.

The bumper needs some additional minor work to get the fit as perfect as possible and will be painted Monday. I am going to go with what I like best but am wondering what your thoughts are?

Let me know what you think. Thanks

My Z is silver with gloss black in that area. Everyone thinks it looks great plus gloss is easier to wax. If you try that with flat or semi gloss it wont look right. My wheels are painted semi gloss and they look great together. Just my thoughts.

I kept the mouth and lip PPW though.

You can't go wrong with either one.
If you somehow don't like the outcome of your choice of color, then either you or shop can vinyl wrap it with the other color.

I have mine PPW and gloss black in the grille and lip portion. I'm glad I went gloss - I was going to do matte, but it just looks more "finished" with gloss.

On another note, if you spray it gloss, you can always tape and spray PlastiDip over the gloss black - then you'd have matte black. If you get tired of it, peel it off and you'll have gloss again.

no the flat black will look terrible especially with blue-this car needs to either be all flat black(still bad) or not at all-carbon hood is ok but anything than that 350 is not the car i would want to see flat black,do a gloss black all way around but dont do flat

I can see where hes going with the flat black idea-think stock 03 bumper grille. However I think this would only look right if it were actually a separate piece with a flat looking material the way stock is, rather than simply painted on. +1 for gloss.

my vote would be gloss. flat black if the car was going white silver or red.
