Appreciate the pics! I'll have to take a look around ace tomorrow. No tip on where to look? It looks flush but rather large in diameter.

It's been a while, but I think I found it by the screws/nuts section.

Btw, what the hell happened to my attachments? Wais, did you mess it up?

Went ahead and stopped by Ace to do the wiper delete.

Ended going up with the "metal hole plugs" rather than the nylon plugs or faucet stoppers people seem to pick up from home depot/lowes. Reason being is they appeared to be more flat/flush like Kuhan's pics showed. These are located right next to the screws, just like you said.

The size I got was 1" for the rear wiper hole, and the 7/8" for the spray nozzle hole on the rear windshield. Went over the metal plugs with gloss black and hit it with a few coats of clear. After drying install took about 15 min.

The rear wiper hole was slightly smaller than the 1", so like another member on the diy thread I filed the hole slightly and the 1" fit snug.

Don't mind the dirtiness, I hadnt cleaned it off yet The spray nozzle was next, and the 7/8" metal cap fit perfectly

I guess the first pic with it on the car is magnified hence the imperfections showing up.
Second pic shows it looking clean

Yep! I was considering getting that kit since they started selling it again recently-ish. I believe a member by the name "graffkid732" is making a good kit that others have recommended as well.

I just decided to try the $2.80 total for spray nozzle and wiper hold plugs, rather than the $35. Especially since I already had the paint and clear sitting at home. Worked out ok for me.

I wouldnt pay $35 for that plug. Its nice and all but got a better bang for my buck with DYI.

For those going the DIY route with the hardware store-bought plugs, what are you using the seal it up to prevent water ingress?

If you are going to do something, I think it should be done correctly. The deletes with the DIY cut down butt plugs look terrible, and IMO look worse than the wiper on the hatch.

Enjoy your gloryhole hatchbacks...

Silicone on the underside of the hatch. Covered by the plastic lining, not able to see it at all, and water tight. Tested it with a car wash. The DIY thread here has more info if you want to research it more:

I agree with this as far as the "faucet stoppers" go that come from Home Depot. Those plugs are huge in my opinion as well and stick out when viewed even from afar. The metal cap, on the other hand, looks flush enough for my picky tastes. DIY can often look and work just as good as these mini kits that are sold on such sites or by other members. The DIY D Wolf clutch engagement kit is a perfect example of this. Hell, some of those kits sold are just slightly refined versions of the DIY's posted on the forums. To each their own though
