Default Duraflex?

Been looking a body kits and there are so many my head is swimming. What I want to know is what brand is worth the money? I don't want a kit where the first time i hit a curb it shatters. I've looked at duraflex and thst stuff sure does bend well when you hit it. What about carbon? I dont mind spending a bit more as long as it will last. I dont want to have to buy another kit a year later.

Thanks for the advice in advanced.

Fiberglass shatters, carbon shatters faster, duraflex is a ***** to have paint stick to (and the paint will spider where the duraflex flexes too much).

Pick your poison?

CF body kit?Not many full ones out there...expensive to get great quality.
Sounds like you may not be a very careful driver. No matter what you select, there is gonna be damage.Duraflex is the cheapest. Its flexible much like your bumper material.
Hell, they make dumpster lids from a form of this poly material.Proper prep is important for a good paint job.Fiberglass is best if you are buying a low end kit that may need some fitting.
IMO,read the reviews.Find a kit that fits.Don't go cheap.

Duraflex is garbage,
Cf can't be repaired worth a damn,
Fiberglass breaks constantly.

Get the picture?

I picked up a extreme dimensions duraflex kit for my 240sx a while back. Flexible as hell for the majority of the kit. But, like anything else that is essentially fiberglass, the corners and hard edges are easy to chip. I don't see any problems with chipping once the kit is installed. Fitment was pretty damn good since I picked up the kit and it had sat in a garage for over a year and was't left straight. Skirts were tweeked a little, still fit without any major modifications.

Brands to stay away from...anything without a name brand. Those ebay kits that are only 20-30 dollars cheaper then an Extreme Dimensions kit are crap. Buddy got one for his 240 and it was a ***** to fit. The drivers skirt had to be cut down 3-4 inches to fit. Rear had a gap at the top of about 1 to 1.5 inches. Kit lasted two weeks before he simply scrapped it coming out of a gas station and the whole lower part of the front turned to mush.

+1

My coworker had some Shine parts on his RX8 and they seemed to fit very nicely.

The website is still in development. You have to find their older listings on here. You can always call and ask for Ken (owner). Really cool guy and easy to work with.

I navigated it and found it but it looks like they only have three body kits and they just aren't what I'm looking for.

I have a duraflex v2 bumper...I scrape all the time getting into driveway. I have minor crack in it but you can barely see it. It was just a pain for my bodyshop to try and fit it on the car. Other than that it is cool.
