Installing HIDs on enthusiast, HELP!
Ok, I got some new 120,000k HIDs and was going to install them on my 2003 enthusiast but the way the stock bulb connects wont allow me to connect the new ones. There is a silver housing that connects to the bulb its not like a regular connector. I know it has stock HIDs but I wanted the higher temp ones for cosmetic purposes. can anyone give me some advice or know what to do about how to install them? Thanks.

a, you bought the wrong type of bulb. you bought ebay cheapies, and they are for aftermarket HIDs, called slim hid.
b, the color you chose is ghastly.. its not an opinion anymore at 12k.. you are going to have so little candelpower and be so purple and blue that you will have little to no light output on the road to actually SEE at night.. try it out, you can reply later and agree w me lol.
6k is the max, and you need OEM style bulbs to use the OEM HID system.
call diode dynamics and buy a set from them.
return what youve got.

I installed a $50 ebay hid kit on my '03 base years ago, and it looks fine. I agree with the above poster though that you shouldn't go over 6k. That's the color I installed and it's a good color. The next higher 8k is ricer blue, and anything beyond that is just ridiculously pointless.
I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think you may already have HIDs that came stock. I would just go ahead and buy a better bulb that actually fits correctly. These kits are better suited for cars that didn't come with stock HIDs in my opinion.

3K hids?
Has anyone tried 3K hid's? I'm looking at replacing, and wasnt sure if they were d1r or d2r, but they have 3K's that are slightly yellow, which works for my ultra-yellow paint..
